It's Time To Relax With Some Wax!

Valentine Gift Ideas From 15 Amazing UK Makers

Jan 29, 2021 | Celebrations, Guest Blogs | 0 comments

Valentine’s Day isn’t only just for couples, it’s also a lovely way to show our friends and family how much we care for them and appreciate all they do for us!

What better way to do this, than with Valentine’s Gift?

Before I can introduce the makers, I have to thank the person who brought us all together!

Say hello is Robyn from Village Pop-Up Market.

She is an amazing woman, with a heart of gold! Who has helped support businesses across the UK to reach more people throughout these tricky, unpredictable times! As a company we have joined in with Robyn’s online markets since October 2020 and I can’t thank her enough for the support and connections she has helped me make.

As she has quoted before, through Village Pop-up: “A curated collection of unique makers & creators” is what Robyn delivers every month.

I have to make a note about the effort Robyn puts in to hand picking the independent businesses for each market. Making sure there is always something for everyone, I believe it has been an honour to work with her for as long as I have.

Although I wish to one day meet Robyn in person and thank her for the support she has give an infant business like myself, I will have to suffice with a HUGE virtual hug!  🤗 … for now!

I would advice any business with heart and passion for what they do to join Robyn’s online markets! Support her and in turn she has a beautiful way of supporting you!  @villagepop

World Candle Month

How it’s time to find the perfect gift for your loved one’s!

Meet all the makers of the last Village Pop-Up Market!

Hello – I’m Alex the jeweller behind the bench. I completed my degree in Jewellery nearly 15 years ago and have in the last 2 year launched my business! I love to create simple, stylish and one of a kind silver, gold and copper jewellery, which is full of texture, pattern and detail.
Happy Shopping! xx

Hi. I’m Alice and I hope you’ve enjoy having a look at my products.

I’ve created a discount code specially for the #VPUvalentinesmarket so feel free to use the code “VPU21” in my Etsy shop, 28-31st Jan only! See the link in my bio.

Thank you so much to Robyn @villagepopup for organising this and for featuring me!

I studied Textiles at university and worked as a product designer for four years before deciding to take a once in a lifetime opportunity to work a Ski Season; a dream which was unfortunately cut short by COVID-19! I set up Alice Lynne Designs in October and started selling a range of handmade and unique home decor items including prints and felt decorations. My designs are influenced by narratives of nature, adventure, memories and history and are designed with an illustrative approach. I aim to create items which can be displayed in your home all year round.

I’m Lottie and I own Little White Threads. I am based in Hertfordshire with my husband, my son and my daughter, and I print/embroidered everything by myself in my home studio.

Little white Threads is a mama & mini clothing store, offering high quality clothing and accessories.

LWT began in 2019 when I struggled to find good quality, versatile tops for my son – that matched all his cool leggings. So I decided to make my own,and it grew from there! Giving up my job as a primary school music teacher and going self employed.

You can browse my collections at www.littlewhitethreads.com or drop me a hello.

Hello…thank you for taking time to stop and look at my stall. I’m Marion. Designer and stitcher of functional, fun and beautiful face coverings. The face coverings are my own design and made to World Health Organisation (WHO) standards 🧵

All face coverings are cotton, so don’t cause “mascne”. They are constructed of three layers, the elastic can be replaced and nose wires can be added at no extra cost, please specify when ordering if you want one added. The masks are made from cotton, they’re machine washable, can be tumbled dried and ironed.

Where we are now having to wear face coverings in more and more places as a matter of law…why show the one you love that you really do care, by giving them the gift of safety this Valentine’s Day x

*p&p £1.50 / £3.00 signed for. Up to 8 masks per order can be posted at these rates 💌

Please visit my grid for more available designs ~ DM me for sales, commissions and queries.

Any questions please ask…happy browsing x

Welcome to The Garden Box Company. This is a small St Albans-based business which I set up during the first lockdown to deliver beautiful plants to the doorstep, locally.

Since those beginnings in May 2020, the business has evolved. I’ve developed a lot of love for succulents, planted many terrariums, put together dried flowers in letterbox packages and bunches, planted doorstep and patio pots, sourced garden-themed gifts, enjoyed searching for reclaimed artefacts to plant, becoming somewhat of a personal plant shopper and an occasional market trader!

Please dm me to express interest or to order – instagram or Facebook

Hello! I’m Connie, the maker behind The Paint Kettle– I set up The Paint Kettle in the first lockdown (before the pandemic I worked as a theatre designer and puppet maker).

I have always loved painting, and had thought about setting up an Etsy shop for a while, so when lockdown came I thought it was the perfect time to combine the two!

I started by creating greetings cards and prints, and have also had some lovely bespoke commissions along the way! I love the natural world and make sure to use plastic free packaging and fully sustainable cardstock. 💚 It has been so exciting growing my new small business, and I look forward to growing it some more!

If you want to have a nosey you can have a look at my account @thepaintkettle or head over to my Etsy shop, the link of which is in my bio.
